The eGov PH Hackathon 2026 challenged us to build technology that makes government services more accessible to every Filipino — and we answered with eHakbang.
With eHakbang, all the processes are automatic and handled for you. Instead of going from agency to agency, you just go with eHakbang and everything is automated. You describe your situation in Filipino, English, or Taglish — a marriage, a new baby, a job loss, retirement — and eHakbang builds a correctly ordered journey, gathers the right documents, links each step to the official eGov PH service, and tracks your progress automatically.
It was tiring, yet still exciting and challenging every step of the way. Building under pressure pushed us, but there's a different kind of fulfillment knowing the work could genuinely help fellow Filipinos navigate government services with less friction.
It was nice to contribute to the betterment of our country — to build something that isn't just a demo, but a step toward making public services easier for everyone.
